December's Wine of the Month: 2012 HAKA Petite Sirah

DECEMBER'S WINE OF THE MONTH

We selected Petite Sirah because it's one the big reds we reach for when the temperature drops. It's also a wonderful wine to pair with another favorite of ours - chocolate!

Petite Sirah originated in France but is scarely grown there. It is better suited to drier climates such as California. Petite Sirah is one of the biggest, most powerful and tannic wines produced in America. But don't let that scare you, ours bursts with fruit and softer tannins.

Our 2012 HAKA Petite Sirah expresses notes of

roasted espresso beans, boysenberry cobler and dark chocoloate with a round, full mouthfeel and lingering finish.

We produce only 100 cases each year and last year's vintage sold out quickly, so stock up early so you don't miss out!
